NEW Cooperative Foundation Supports Wildcat Wonderland Project
7/8/2022
(L to R): Cole Bockelmann, Humboldt City Administrator, accepts a $3000 contribution from NEW Cooperative’s Jeff Bowden and Gary Moritz.
The NEW Cooperative Foundation recently presented a contribution totaling $3,000 to the City of Humboldt for the Wildcat Wonderland park project. Jeff Bowden, NEW Cooperative location manager at Humboldt and Gary Moritz, Communications Director at NEW Cooperative, presented the check to Cole Bockelmann, Humboldt City Administrator.
“The Wildcat Wonderland project, which is a new playground at the Taft Elementary School and Taft Park, is a joint project between the city and the Humboldt School District,” Bockelmann said. “The current playground there was originally funded by the community and was built about 30 years ago. The new Wildcat Wonderland will be a signature park amenity for Humboldt and the elementary school. The new structure will be safer and will include several handicap accessible features.”
NEW Cooperative Communications Director, Gary Moritz, said the park project will be a source of pride for the community. “This project is funded by the community, and we are grateful for the volunteer efforts to build the playground. NEW Cooperative is a proud supporter of the project.”
Fundraising efforts are ongoing for the Wildcat Wonderland project.
