2/9/2024NEW Cooperative Foundation Donates to the Red Oak Fire Department
The Red Oak Fire Department recently received a donation from the NEW Cooperative Foundation. The $7,000 donation will be put towards the department’s recent purchase of a wildland/grass truck. Land O’ Lakes provided $2,500 of the donation in matching funds.
“The new wildland/grass truck will be able to fight grass and fields fires in remote locations when the larger rescue vehicles are unable to respond,” said John Bruce, Red Oak Fire Chief. “Replacing our current truck will allow us to transport our firefighters safely, along with being able to use it in inclement weather and carry more of our safety equipment.”
“NEW Cooperative is proud to support our local fire departments. The new wildland/grassland truck will be beneficial to providing protection for our members, customers, and the community in battling land fires.” said NEW Cooperative Foundation Director, Gary Moritz. “All of us at NEW Cooperative appreciate our local Fire Department’s dedication and service to our communities.
