NEW Cooperative Foundation Donates to Coon Rapids Fire Department

The Coon Rapids Fire Department recently received a donation of $5,000 with contributions from the NEW Cooperative Foundation and Land O’ Lakes. The Coon Rapids Fire Department serves the city of Coon Rapids and surrounding townships in Guthrie, Greene, Carroll, and Audubon Counties.

The contribution from the Foundation and Land O’ Lakes will go towards providing updated fire protection for its firefighters. This protection includes air packs which are lifesaving devices worn to provide breathable air in hazardous conditions.

“NEW Cooperative is a proud supporter of its local communities and of those who serve to keep these communities safe,” stated Gary Moritz, NEW Cooperative Communications Director. “With our involvement with the Coon Rapids Fire Department, they will not only be able to update lifesaving equipment but also be able to better serve community members.”
