NEW Cooperative Donates to Pomeroy Fire Department

Donation to volunteer fire department

The NEW Cooperative Foundation is pleased to present a donation to Pomeroy Fire Department. The Pomeroy Fire Department strives to provide proper fire protection, safety, and education in the City of Pomeroy and surrounding townships. The Pomeroy Fire Department will be using the funds to build a field fire response vehicle. The funds will help purchase two leaf blowers and two back pack sprayers for the fire department. This equipment has been proven to be effective for mitigating and controlling field fires and CRP burning.

On Thursday, October 29, 2020, Chris Blair, NEW Cooperative Region 4 Manager, Marlyn Holtorf, NEW Cooperative Pomeroy Location Manager, and Gary Moritz, NEW Cooperative Communications Director, representing the NEW Cooperative Foundation along with the Land O’ Lakes presented a check to the Pomeroy Fire Department in the total amount of $1,500.00.
