NEW Cooperative Donates to Britt Fire Association
4/25/2023The Britt Fire Association recently received a contribution from the NEW Cooperative Foundation totaling $3,500. The funds will be used to update the current cutter and spreader system to a cordless system.
“We are updating our current cutter and spreader system to a cordless system in order to be able to more readily reach car and tractor accidents that are hard to access,” said Jon Swenson, Britt Fire Association, Fire Chief. “Upgrading our current smaller system that requires five people to help carry to the accident scene, can now be carried by one person.”
“NEW Cooperative is happy to help with this fundraiser,” stated NEW Cooperative Foundation Director, Gary Moritz. “With our involvement, the Britt Fire Associations will not only be able to update tools they use, but this will allow them to be more efficient serving community members.”
