The NEW Cooperative Foundation recently contributed $2500 to the Okoboji FFA chapter. Each year  Okoboji FFA hosts the Tractor Ride Around West Lake (TRAWL), which serves as the chapter’s main fundraiser.

“2023 is our 18th year of hosting the tractor ride around the Okoboji area,” said Rich Martin, FFA advisor at the Okoboji High School, located in Milford, Iowa. “The tractor ride continues to be one of the most popular rides in Northwest Iowa and surrounding areas. Each year we have between 200 and 250 riders, and this is our biggest fundraiser for the chapter. The money that we raise from this event goes towards funding all our activities that we do throughout the year.”

“NEW Cooperative is a proud supporter of local FFA chapters,” said Gary Moritz, NEW Cooperative Communication Director. “There are many ways we support FFA and its exciting to help Okoboji FFA with their annual fundraiser. There are many leadership skills that the Okoboji FFA members learn from planning their chapter’s activities and we’re happy to lend our support.”

This year’s Tractor Ride Around West Lake will take place on Sunday, July 23 at Florence Park in Milford. More information is available at
