The West Bend-Mallard Athletic Boosters received a contribution from NEW Cooperative that will aid in the purchase of a new scoreboard for the high school gymnasium. NEW Cooperative Foundation Director Gary Moritz recently presented the check totaling $1,500 to the boosters.
“This project is so much more than just installing a new scoreboard for basketball, volleyball and wrestling,” says Meredith Vonnahme, WBM Athletic Booster Board Treasurer. “The current scoreboard and software are 20 years old and is almost outdated. Beyond that, though, our new scoreboard will have state-of-the-art software programming that can also be used in our classrooms, especially in technology instruction and computer application development. The new scoreboard will also be used as a big screen to broadcast educational material to large group classes.”
NEW Cooperative Foundation Director Gary Moritz says “Monetary resources for local schools can sometimes be limited. The NEW Cooperative Foundation is happy to support this project that will impact not only athletics, but also the educational curriculum at the school.”
