2021-2022 NEW Cooperative Scholarship Recipients Announced
Local Students Receive Scholarships to Pursue Agriculture College Education
April 21, 2021 – NEW Cooperative is pleased to announce the winners of the NEW Cooperative Agriculture Scholarship. This year’s eight $2,000 scholarship winners are, Jaedyn Condon, daughter of Shadd and Sara Scharf off Fort Dodge, Lauren Erickson, daughter of Corie and Kathy Erickson of Humboldt, Zachary Frideres, son of Jeff and Lisa Frideres of Humboldt, Madalyn Moline, daughter of Dave and Shelly Moline of Manson, Dallas Weed, son of Randy and Lori Weed of Charter Oak, Logan Carver, son of Brian and Missy Carver of Rockwell City, Emily Jaeschke, daughter of Heith and Amy Jaeschke of Moorland, and Carson Lambert, son of Chad and Chris Lambert of Lehigh.
“These students are the future of our agriculture industry. We are proud to support them in their college journey and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the future,” said NEW Cooperative General Manager, Dan Dix.
NEW Cooperative, Inc. a farmer-owned grain, agronomy, energy and feed cooperative headquartered in Fort Dodge, Iowa with their scholarship program, now on its 28th year of proudly supporting the college education of area students. In that time, 167 scholarships have been awarded. The $2,000 scholarship is to aid full-time students who are pursuing their college education in an agriculture program. The NEW Cooperative Foundation awards the scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, scholastics and a strong desire to pursue a career in agriculture. Each year, students planning to enroll as a full time student in an agricultural college program at a Midwest college, and who are dependents of NEW Cooperative members or employees are eligible to apply to receive a scholarship. This includes graduating high school seniors, as well as college freshmen through juniors.
