OUTSIDE OPERATIONS LEAD

Description: To promote customer sales and provide services in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, and achieve the desired sales and profit goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain a safe work environment as outlined in NEW Cooperative’s policies and procedures.

• Maintain communication with the location manager.
• Operate grain elevator equipment and agronomy equipment.

• Maintain grain quality.

• Responsible for equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and record-keeping.

• Assist in operating, repairing, and the maintenance of NH3 equipment.

• Fill and transport NH3 equipment.

• Assist with weighing incoming and outgoing grain.

• Unloads and loads grain from trucks and wagons.

• Provides fast, efficient, and courteous service at all times.

• Promotes co-op by maintaining a positive image and attitude.

• Assists customers in finding the correct person or department to fill their needs.

Job Requirements:

• Must have an acceptable driving record and be insurable to drive.

• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with endorsements.

• Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Handler’s License.

• Understand the importance of providing very high levels of customer service.

• Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
