Accounts Payable:

Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information by performing the following:

Daily Duties

  • Enter daily invoices
  • Move emailed invoices to File Director software
  • Move/Process other invoice types (Truck premium/hired trucks, Region Manager, Feed & Merchandise)
  • Process daily Wire Transfers and ACH transactions
  • Scan Bill of Ladings into File Director
  • Check/ACH Run (Tuesday & Thursday and as needed)

Monthly Duties

  • Close Accounts Payable at month-end and balance to General Ledger
  • Review Vendor Statements (biweekly or monthly) & follow-up on outstanding invoices

Quarterly Duties

  • Prepare quarterly Use and Sales Tax reports

Annual Duties

  • Review and mail year-end1099’s

Administrative/Clerical:

Faxes, files, photocopies, and other clerical duties as required.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Stuffing checks with remittal documents and mailing

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include but not limited to the following:

• Ensures a safe work environment as outlined by NEW Cooperative’s policies and procedures.

• Maintain operations of the facility:

o Maintain grain quality.

o Unload and load grain from trucks and wagons.

o Assist in setup & maintenance of equipment.

o Perform standard routine maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout all areas of location.

o Work with bulk chemicals, maintain inventory of chemicals.

o Work with bulk fertilizers, maintain inventory of fertilizers.

o Treat seed and organize seed in sheds.

o Fill and transport NH3 equipment.

• Deliver products and services to customers.

• Assist in operating fertilizer tender trucks.

• Be able to operate custom application equipment.

• Be available to drive truck when needed.

Job Requirements:

• Must have an acceptable driving record and be insurable to drive.

• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with endorsements

• Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Handler’s or Applicator’s License.

• Understand the importance of providing very high levels of customer service.

• Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in – season time commitment.

Description:     To efficiently operate grain facility and computerized feed manufacturing equipment to mix and process ingredients to specified formulations and quality guidelines. Provide related customer services in a safe and effective manner.

1st Shift:          Operate during the hours of 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Hours may vary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment as outlined by NEW Cooperative’s policies and procedures.
  • Operate computerized batch mixing equipment, receiving and load-out equipment, micro ingredient addition, and grinding equipment
  • Maintains inventory at desired levels
  • Fulfills all reporting and recordkeeping requirements
  • Follows standards of quality as outlined by QMS and other manufacturing and regulatory controls
  • Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean working environment
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment
  • Develop an understanding of all bin or storage locations and maintain records of grain inventory in each.
  • Receiving of grain including unloading and elevation
  • Develop an understanding and ability to blend grain to optimal grade factors utilizing the working knowledge of the grain inventory
  • Ensure that all grain quality meets expected quality standards and is maintained.

Position Requirements

  • Lifting 55-pound ingredient bags
  • Safe and effective operation of a forklift
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable to drive
