As a Grain Merchandising Intern for NEW Cooperative, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:
- Logistics and merchandising: experience the day-to-day efforts of a merchandiser
- Track industry basis levels and manage the posting of closing grain bids
- Mitigate price risk: assist with management of the company’s hedge desk
- Develop an awareness and understanding of a variety of grain contracts
- Customer marketing assistance: explain contract concepts that meet customer marketing goals
- Grain accounting: reconcile outbound grain truck shipments
