Glidden, IA- On Friday, January 17, 2017 the NEW Cooperative Foundation, in cooperation with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation presented a check to the City of Glidden for the amount of $5,000 to help with equipment for the new Kruger Shelter House. The Albert Kruger Sr. Shelter House is currently being built in the Glidden Pool Park adjacent to the Aquatic Center. It will serve as an all-season shelter available for rent to the community.
The goal of the NEW Cooperative Foundation is to help support youth, agriculture and community betterment organizations in our members’ local communities. It is with great pleasure that the NEW Cooperative Foundation was able to help the City of Glidden in the addition of the Albert Kruger Sr. Shelter House for the community members to utilize for years to come.
