Moorland Fire Department Donation


Moorland, IA-  The NEW Cooperative Foundation is pleased to present a donation to the Moorland Fire Department to help with funding for the grain bin rescue team. The fire department has completed the required training and is now seeking additional equipment to provide quick and safe rescue, if needed. This includes a grain bin rescue auger, several full body safety harnesses, battery powered impact, safety lanyards, ropes, saw blades and other equipment to provide safe entrance and exit from inside the bin.

On Friday, March 9th, 2018, Ken Stern, NEW Cooperative Roelyn Operations Manager, Shawn Lawler, NEW Cooperative Roelyn Agronomist, and Gary Moritz, NEW Cooperative’s Communications Director representing the NEW Cooperative Foundation along with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation presented checks to members of the Moorland Fire Department in the total amount of $2,000.
