The Clare Grain Project is underway.  The immense project begins with the removal of the current dryer and seven old grain bins.  (Click Download Story to view pictures)  The facilities being taken down were old and worn out and were inhibiting efficiency possibilitlies for the Clare location.  They bins will be replaced with three new 360,000 bushel grain bins.  This will increase capacity by several 100,000 bushels.  In addition, a new receiving leg will be installed with a rate of 20,000 bushels per hour.  That is a 50% increase in receiving for the Clare grain facilities and will make the time customers spend dumping grain in the fall much less.  The old dryer that is being removed, will be replaced with a new grain dryer which wiill be placed in a more efficient location.  This new dryer will increase drying capacity by 40%!

The additions will be ready for Clare area grain customers by harvest 2010.  This project will bring much more efficiency to the Clare location and will be a great addition for our customers in that area.  NEW Cooperative continues to look for quality investments, such as the Clare Grain Project, which will add value to your operation.
