The Fort Dodge NEW Cooperative employees raised a total of $675 through their Jeans Day Fund to donate to local charities. With the NEW Cooperative Foundation match, the total donated to Operation Christmas and Shoes That Fit was $1350. With that money, NEW Cooperative was able to provide 27 kids with much needed winter coats, snow boots and tennis shoes, and also provide 30 area families with large boxes of food including potatoes, stuffing, cereal, pancake mix, maple syrup, spaghetti, pasta sauce and pudding cups.
Other NEW Cooperative locations have also joined in the giving efforts and donated to the Bikes for Tykes fundraiser this year. Bode employees donated $500, the Maintenance Department donated two bikes and the Palmer location donated one bike.
