Excavating Takes Place at NEW Cooperative Locations

Recently, two NEW Cooperative locations had facilities excavated. In Knierim, the wood elevator, which has been a part of the Knierim location for many years, was taken down by Lee Farms Excavating. Not all was lost, however, as the painted letters and other memorable pieces of the wood elevator were collected and saved. The Woolstock location also saw the dismantling of one of its long standing buildings. The concrete mill was also removed by Lee Farms Excavating and made into rubble.
These facility removals are important for ensuring that NEW locations have ample room for new equipment storage, additional facility needs, and to improve the traffic flow. Pictures of the excavating can be seen on the NEW Cooperative Flickr photo sharing page.
